What is Aviation Kerosene Colonial Grade 54?

Colonial Grade 54 is the commercial jet-kerosene grade defined by the Colonial Pipeline system in the United States — the pipeline designation for Jet A-quality turbine fuel. Internationally it trades alongside Jet A-1 on the same commercial basis, with the governing specification (ASTM D1655 Jet A/Jet A-1) fixed per contract. Buyers are airlines, airport fuel farms, distributors and government tenders.
